The Buccaneers are poised to induct their first player into the Ring of Honor since 2019.

“BREAKING: Simeon Rice to become newest member of Bucs Ring of Honor”
After joining the Buccaneers as a free agent in 2001, Rice played a key role in the team’s first Super Bowl win in 2002. That season, he earned first-team All-Pro honors with 15.5 sacks and added four sacks and three forced fumbles in the playoffs. During his six-year stint with Tampa Bay (2001-2006), Rice racked up 250 tackles, 69.5 sacks, four interceptions, and 19 forced fumbles, leaving a lasting impact on the team. Several key defensive players from that championship team have been recognized for their contributions. Derrick Brooks, Warren Sapp, John Lynch, and Ronde Barber are all Pro Football Hall of Famers and members of the Buccaneers’ Ring of Honor. Additionally, Head Coach Jon Gruden and Defensive Coordinator Monte Kiffin are also honored in the Buccaneers’ Ring of Honor, with their names displayed at Raymond James Stadium.Total tackles: | 483 |
