Buccaneers WR Emeka Egbuka Ruled Out Week 8

Bowles said Egbuka cleared the league’s concussion protocol but was limited all week with a foot injury. This marks Egbuka’s second consecutive game to be ruled out.

Egbuka, 24, committed to Ohio State as a five-star recruit. He earned second-team All-Big 10 honors in 2022 and third-team honors the next two seasons.

The Buccaneers used the No. 19 overall pick in round one on Egbuka in the 2025 NFL Draft. He’s in the second year of a four-year, $18,147,572 contract that includes a $9,838,231 signing bonus. The contract includes a fifth-year option for the team to pick up in 2028.

In 2026, Egbuka has appeared in six games and recorded 28 receptions on 49 targets for 240 yards (8.6 YPC) and two touchdowns.
