The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released the info for the upcoming 50th anniversary Creamsicle uniforms and man, the video will make you want to run through a brick wall.
And even better yet, there's a quick clip of Bucs legend Simeon Rice showing current EDGE Yaya Diaby some moves that can help him take his game (hopefully) to the next level in 2025. You can see the pair going over technique at the 1:35 mark as former Bucs quarterback Steve Spurrier narrates:
Rice is arguably the greatest Bucs pass rusher of all-time. Only Lee Roy Selmon and Warren Sapp have more sacks than Rice's 69.5 QB takedowns in pewter and red. He was a huge piece that helped the Bucs win their first Super Bowl back in 2022, recording 15.5 sacks during the regular season and 4.0 sacks during the postseason that included two against the Raiders in the big game.
The former All-Pro was also inducted into the Bucs' Ring of Honor back in June. To see him working with Diaby is something that will easily excite Bucs fans and for good reason. If Diaby can step up and become the Bucs' top pass rush threat, it can completely change the complexion of the defense.
That's because it would allow the Bucs to rush with four guys more often, thus leaving seven guys in coverage. That's a big advantage for defenses, as opposing offenses can never send more than five guys out in a single play. Owning a +2 advantage can do wonders, especially in this day and age where offense reigns supreme.
The Bucs will don the 50th anniversary creamsicles during their Week 3 matchup against the New York Jets. It's a replica of the white version of the 1976 uniform, because obviously, Raymond James Stadium will be cooking in September.
And on a completely different but related note: That'll also be Haason Reddick's revenge game. The 50th season sure is shaping up to be a fun one.
