Bucs Re-Sign Defensive Lineman
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Bucs once again have moved some pieces around their practice squad. The organization signed defensive lineman Deadrin Senat back to the practice squad while releasing Vi Jones, per team writer Scott Smith.

Senat had been let go by Tampa Bay the week before as they took Rakim Jarrett off of injured reserve and activated him to the 53-man roster. It’s been common for the team to have Jones on and off the practice squad in the last spot.

Anytime they make a move and need to find room, it’s usually Jones that is waived.

On the season, Senat has been active for three games. That was in Week 8 at the Bills, Week 14 at the Falcons and the game after in Week 15 when the Bucs faced the Packers.

Senat has one tackle on the year, which came in the Thursday night game.

Any Further Moves Coming From The Bucs?

We’ll see how many more roster moves Tampa Bay could make this year. Even during the postseason roster changes occur within the week but most of the time they are injury related. The team is relatively healthy before their Monday night football playoff game against the Eagles, so there are not many replacements that need to be found.

The big question would be Baker Mayfield, but Tampa Bay obviously has that covered with Kyle Trask and John Wolford. In the meantime, get ready for the Bucs next game by listening to the Pewter Report Podcast. Our latest episode featured a nearly half hour long conversation interview with outside linebacker Yaya Diaby.

We spoke with Diaby about his fascinating rookie season in which he led the Bucs with 7.5 sacks after only getting named the starter in Week 11. Diaby spoke about his sack celebration, gave a preview of Bucs vs. Eagles and what his future goals are with Tampa Bay coming up.
