Buffalo Bills got absolutely robbed by a terrible call on a call for something that didn't exist following Lamar Jackson interception

In the biggest playoff games, it's hard enough to beat elite opponents. When the referees make a horrible missed call to kill momentum of a drive, it's a massive setback that can be hard to overcome.

The Buffalo Bills had just such an occasion. After an interception thrown by Lamar Jackson , the Bills were driving to try and capitalize and take an early lead. Then the refs decided to call a phantom holding call on left tackle Dion Dawkins on what was perfect technique.

On this play, Josh Allen connected with Curtis Samuel for what would have set up 3rd and 2. Instead, the non-existent holding penalty set them back, and they eventually had to punt.

The Ravens are a juggernaut of a team that rarely makes mistakes. Jackson threw 41 touchdown passes and only four interceptions this season. Him making a big mistake, overthrowing a receiver and gifting an interception to the Bills is something that they really needed to capitalize on.

Plays like this one, where Dawkins did everything right and the refs set the team back anyway, have to be fixed. We now have the eye in the sky where there are "quick reviews," so why that technology can't be utilized to correct obvious misses by referees is beyond me.

The NFL needs to do something. Hopefully for Bills fans, that play doesn't come back to hurt them in their attempt to get past Baltimore to square off with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
