The Buffalo Bills signed Cornerback Tre’Davious White to a one-year deal worth up to $6.8 million Thursday evening. He is coming off a down 2024 with the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens. White had 22 tackles. He is no stranger to the Buffalo Bills. He was drafted by the team in 2017 and played his first 7 NFL seasons with the squad. White is a two-time Pro Bowl selection and an All-Pro. How will he fare in his return to Buffalo?
White is another example of the team doubling down on its defense. Buffalo has signed Defensive End Joey Bosa and Cornerback Dane Jackson this offseason. They also re-signed Greg Rousseau, Christian Benford, and Terrel Bernard.
Buffalo has been eliminated by the Kansas City Chiefs in four of the five last postseasons. The Bills believe the way to get over the hump against Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs is to limit them on offense. In the AFC Championship Game, they allowed Kansas City to score a season-high 32 points.
White will bring a familiar veteran presence to the Buffalo Bills in 2025. He will give the defense some depth as they continue knocking on the Super Bowl door. They hope this is the year they can finally burst through.
