The Buffalo Bills finished the 2024 regular season with a 13-4 record, placing them atop the AFC East and entering the playoffs as the second seed in the AFC.
However, the 13-4 isn't the only time the word "record" will be used for the Bills.
The Buffalo Bills tied the mark for fewest turnovers in a single season, with just eight. They join the 2019 Saints with the total. The 2024 Bills have the lowest turnover total in a 17-game season.
The most interesting thing about the record? Josh Allen is the only Bill to turn the ball over.
Allen has faced turnover criticisms his entire career, especially after a career-high 18 interceptions in 2023. Allen turned things around this year, only throwing six interceptions, and one of his five fumbles not being recovered by the Bills.
In fact, the only lost fumble for the Bills came in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals. The Bills didn't lose a fumble for the remaining 17 weeks of the NFL season. James Cook, Khalil Shakir, Dalton Kincaid and Mitch Trubisky all had fumbles this year, but they were all recovered b y the Bills.
On the flip side of the ball, the Bills' defense forced 32 turnovers, the third best mark in the league.
Allen and the Bills hope to carry the record-level play into the postseason. The Bills are set to take on the Denver Broncos in the Wild Car round on Sunday at 1 p.m. EST.
The Bills went 1-1 in the playoffs last season, beating the Pittsburgh Steelers before losing to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional round. The Bills did not turn the ball over in last seasons playoffs after 28 regular season turnovers.
