Building the Chicago Bears 2025 Draft Board: Tight Ends
Daniel Bartel-Imagn Images

With Cole Kmet serving as the only quality tight end on the roster, the Chicago Bears must make some key additions this offseason. Gerald Everett is still on the roster but will likely be a cap casualty. While Kmet can be relied on as the primary starter, the Bears need multiple additions to run Ben Johnson's offense. The Bears' new play caller demonstrated a preference for multiple tight-end formations during his time in Detroit. The best opportunity for the Bears to enhance their tight end room will be in the middle rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft.

On Tap Sports Net's Building the Board scouts Luke O'Grady and Quinten Krzysko dove into the tight end position. You can tune in on Apple, Spotify, or YouTube!

Chicago Bears Tight End Prospects

The Bears will likely be adding two tight ends to the roster this offseason, and the 2025 NFL Draft would be the best place to look for an inexpensive addition with upside. So, let’s break down a few of their potential targets. You can find our video breakdowns, scouting reports, mock drafts, and other content on the Building The Board homepage!

Since the end of the regular season, the Building The Board team has worked hard to build a draft board for the Bears. This board accounts for scheme fit, draft preferences from previous classes, and positional needs.

Our scouts have been reviewing players available in the 2025 NFL Draft, aiming to create a final top-100 draft board for the Bears. In the latest installment of our podcast, Building The Board, we discussed our initial batch of players, including some tight end prospects the Bears should consider.

What's On Tap Next?

We currently have just over 70 players graded, but we still need to return to the tape to fill out the top 100. Look out for future podcast episodes, as we plan to knock out two positional breakdowns per week. On Thursday, Nick Demao and Quinten Krzysko will examine linebackers in this year's class.
