Jahdae Walker joined the Chicago Bears after going undrafted in 2025. He proved his worth by making the final roster and appearing in nine games. The Texas A&M product provided the team with more depth at wide receiver, and he saw more playing time late in the season.
The coaching staff expects him to be ready when they call upon him in 2026, continuing to play behind Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III. Walker recorded six receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns in his rookie campaign.
He has also formed strong bonds with some of his teammates, including Caleb Williams and Kyle Monangai.
Chicago started its OTAs on Wednesday, and all three of them participated. They will play crucial roles in helping the franchise match or exceed their achievements last season.
Williams trolled Walker on his Instagram story on Wednesday. The quarterback accused Walker of stealing a celebration from Monangai.
“Count yo days @alldae9 stealing cellys. He really did it @justkyle._ and he spammed it too,” Williams wrote.
Monangai reposted it in his story with his reaction.
“IM SAYIN
️ POST AND ALL,” Monangai wrote.
Walker responded to Williams with a multitude of laughing emojis and tagged Chicago cornerback Jaylon Jones. Walker did not say anything, which neither confirms nor denies Williams’ hilarious accusation.
The playful exchange captured the team’s relaxed vibe on the first day of OTAs. However, the coaches will make it more intense in the coming days, leading up to the mandatory minicamp from June 9-11.
The team aims to have a deeper postseason run in 2026. The Bears reached the Divisional Round but lost 20-17 to the Los Angeles Rams. Williams enjoyed a successful season and proved his doubters wrong by leading the team to an NFC North crown. Meanwhile, Monangai emerged as one of Williams’ primary weapons, showcasing his elite route-running.
