Caleb Williams, Bears welcome special guest at practice

The Chicago Bears are preparing for next season and putting in work in training camp. They reached the Divisional Round after winning the NFC North last season, with Caleb Williams leading the way.

He proved his doubters wrong by showing that he can deliver success to the franchise. The quarterback completed 330-of-568 passes for 3,942 yards, 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions, and added 77 rushing attempts for 388 yards and three scores. Williams’ strong performances garnered a lot of attention, as well as praise from many former players and analysts, including Chad Ochocinco Johnson.

The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner is raring to start the next campaign. He wants to prove to the NFL world that last season’s success was not a fluke. Williams and Chicago have their sights set on having a deeper playoff run.

Chad Ochocinco Johnson visits Caleb Williams, Bears during practice

Johnson visited the Bears during their practice on Saturday. The team posted a picture of him with Williams and another with Zavion Thomas. A clip on the post showed him hugging and dapping it up with Luther Burden III.

The Oregon product played 11 seasons in the NFL. He entered the league in 2001 as the No. 36 overall pick in the second round. Johnson suited up for the Cincinnati Bengals and the New England Patriots. He also joined the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad in 2012, which was the last team he was with in the NFL.

Johnson took his talents to the Canadian Football League in 2014, appearing in five games in 2017. In March 2017, he played one game for the Fundidores de Monterrey of the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional. The former wide receiver earned three first-team All-Pro and six Pro Bowl nods in his NFL career. He amassed 766 catches for 11,059 yards and 67 touchdowns in 167 regular-season games, including 135 starts.
