Caleb Williams entered the NFL as the No. 1 pick in 2024. He has since embraced playing for the Chicago Bears and the rivalry the franchise has with the Green Bay Packers.

However, Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons praised the quarterback on Tuesday. He expressed admiration for his game before saying that he is the fire to his ice. It surprised many as Chicago and Green Bay have a long history and clash in highly competitive matchups.

Williams enjoyed a strong 2025 season. He completed 330-of-568 passes for 3,942 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Parsons, on the other hand, registered 41 combined tackles, including 19 solo efforts and 12 tackles for loss, along with 12.5 sacks. The Dallas Cowboys traded him to the Packers ahead of the 2025 season.

The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner responded to Parsons’ warning on Thursday. He made it clear that he looks forward to seeing which of their teams will dominate in 2026.

“It’s just funny, you know, obviously, it’s good jokes. Obviously, we’re football players on opposite teams, so it’s a little rivalry, but nothing taken to heart and things like that,” Williams said. “He said he’s fire and I’m ice, so let’s see which one holds over.”

Reporters also asked Williams if he would ever vote for a Green Bay player as the best in the league. He said that he would “probably not.”

The Bears and Packers will face each other twice, first in Week 5 at Lambeau Field and in Week 16 at Soldier Field.

Chicago will play seven primetime games in total and has the toughest schedule in the league. The team reached the Divisional Round last year but lost 20-17 in overtime to the Los Angeles Rams. Williams aims to lead the Bears to a deeper run and potentially compete for a Super Bowl.
