Caleb Williams had a great 2025 NFL season for the Chicago Bears. He led the Bears to an 11-6 record, their best finish since the 2018 season. They also won their first NFC North title in seven years.
Williams had a historic year, setting the franchise record for most passing yards in a single season. The second-year quarterback finished with 3,942 passing yards for 27 touchdowns and only 24 sacks.
Despite defeating their bitter rivals , the Green Bay Packers, in the Wild Card Round, they still failed to reach the Super Bowl. The Bears fell to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round, losing 17-20.
Williams’ future is looking bright in Chicago. He has developed into the franchise’s offensive cornerstone. The Bears are expected to perform well in the upcoming NFL season.
The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner was outstanding in the recently concluded OTAs. This also impressed head coach Ben Johnson as he looks to guide the Bears to a better finish next season.
As for Williams, Chicago fans were thrilled with his continued improvement in the last two seasons. The 24-year-old quarterback has the Bears culture rooted in him.
The young Bears star even shared his disdain for the Packers as their longtime NFL rival. A testament to this fact is a Williams trading card that recently surfaced. In addition to signing the card with his autograph, the Bears QB left a note for the Packers.
“Green Bay sucks!” read the message.

A lot of Bears fans agree with this statement, especially after they eliminated their rivals in the playoffs last year.
While his message on the trading card may have been playful, it reflects the intensity of one of the NFL’s most historic rivalries.
The Bears are coming into the 2026 NFL season as legitimate Super Bowl contenders. Williams’ continuous improvement, Coach Johnson’s leadership and a re-tooled roster will be the keys to success for Chicago this year.
