It's fairly sunny in the desert here on Christmas Eve, though the Windy City can't say the same.
We're still hours removed from the Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals kicking off Week 16 action at Soldier Field, though conditions were less than ideal earlier this morning to due fog.
From Jaime Eisner on Twitter/X:
"FYI for those betting (or fantasy players) on Cardinals vs Bears, there’s a dense fog in the area that’s been here for more than 24 hours now.
"How will it affect the game? ♂️
"Fog bowl in ‘88 had only 32 points but 771 combined yards and 78 pass attempts."

Another angle:
You are looking live at Soldier Field. Fog burned off somewhat yesterday but came back at dusk. Late game today so will we have another Soldier Field fog bowl? pic.twitter.com/NPYjpToext

The Cardinals are no strangers to this kind of weather, especially as of late. Their last road game in Pittsburgh saw two delays due to storms in the area.
Crisis avoided?
Chicago's Cassie Carlson confirmed that the fog is indeed gone from Soldier Field as of nearly half an hour ago, clearing the way for a Cardinals-Bears game that can actually be seen my fans and viewers across the globe.

Though both teams are essentially out of the playoff picture (Arizona being eliminated and Chicago still needing a lot to go their way) NFL draft positioning is up for grabs as the Cardinals sit with the No. 3 pick while the Bears currently hold pick No. 5 (and No. 1 thanks to the Carolina Panthers).
Kickoff is at 2:25 PM Arizona time.
