It took only nine games for Dante Stills to match his 2023 total in an important category. The second-year WVU product recorded a 0.5 sack in Arizona’s 29-9 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday, giving him 3.5 for the season, the same amount he posted all of last year.

In addition to playing a role in a sack, Stills also registered four tackles in the game. Stills’ sack streak is now at three games.

Overall in 2024, Stills has 26 total tackles and a pass deflection to go along with his 3.5 sacks.

And while some might be surprised that Stills, a sixth round draft pick, has been able to transition so smoothly to the NFL, his head coach with the Cardinals is learning to get used to it.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon wanted to make sure everyone was aware of how well Stills was progressing, bringing it up during a press conference towards the end of last season.

“I don’t know if there’s a guy that’s made a bigger jump than him,” said Gannon about Stills when talking about the 2023 rookie class.

Stills registered 47 tackles, 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble during his rookie season in 2023.

After a record setting college career at WVU, the Cardinals drafted Stills in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
