GLENDALE – There are some glaring issues with the Cardinals’ offense in the first two weeks, and fans have been putting the majority of the blame on Cardinals Offensive Coordinator Drew Petzing.

It has been a lackluster effort from the Cardinals’ offense so far to begin the 2025 NFL season, as the playcalling has become predictable and stagnant. There is one main culprit that Cardinals fans have been talking about as the main reason for these lingering issues. Cardinals Offensive Coordinator Drew Petzing refuses to adapt as the game develops, and his predictable playcalling will eventually catch up to Arizona.

The main focus point of the Cardinals’ offense since Head Coach Jonathan Gannon and Offensive Coordinator Drew Petzing took over has been getting the run game developed to open up the offense for QB Kyler Murray. Though the offensive line play, and refusal to get their playmaker Marvin Harrison Jr. more involved have many questioning if a new offensive coordinator would help get the Cardinals’ offense moving in the right direction.

Cardinals fans’ opinions on OC Drew Petzing:

These voices of frustration from Cardinals fans are coming after a 2-0 start to the NFL season, which speaks volumes more than anything. What should have been a celebrated start has now turned into weeks full of skepticism and criticism after back-to-back weeks of games that could have led to two disastrous losses. This upcoming game against the San Francisco 49ers will be a massive test for Petzing’s offense. If the Cardinals cannot overcome their problems, whether it’s consistency with the offensive line or getting productive play calling, they could be in for a rough stretch until they figure out a solution.
