GLENDALE – The Arizona Cardinals are getting a makeover for next season. The NFL and Nike are collaborating to create new, exciting jerseys that will be called “NFL Rivalries.” The plan is a four-year rollout starting in 2025 with two divisions: NFC West and AFC East. The following three years will add two more divisions each time, until all teams are included in 2028.
“Each participating team will wear a unique Rivalries uniform with designs rooted extensively in local community insights during a single home game against a division rival. The designs have been brought to life by pulling inspiration from the history of each market and the aspects of the community that only that team’s city embodies.”
The idea follows suit with the NBA and MLB, which have done similar things in the past. For the MLB, the league has had City Connect jerseys that have given fans fun and unique alternatives to wear for gameday. Since the NBA started its deal with Nike, it has tried to create new City Edition uniforms every year. And now, the NFL is joining the trend.
The reveal date is unknown, but the Cardinals must follow guidelines regarding the new jerseys.
The franchise unveiled new uniforms in 2023 after not having any redesigns for 18 years. Now, only two years later, Arizona is getting another jersey for fans to represent their favorite team and players.
