Out of nowhere, the Arizona Cardinals have made a decision to relieve a senior executive of his services today.
According to lead CBS NFL insider Jonathan Jones, Arizona have “parted ways” with their vice president of player personnel, Quentin Harris.
The Cardinals have parted ways with VP of player personnel Quentin Harris, source says. Harris had been with Arizona’s scouting department for 16 years. A respected personnel man, Harris has previously interviewed for the Giants and Titans GM jobs.

Jones said that Harris has been involved in the Cards’ scouting department for 16 years, and was known as a “respected personnel man.”
Before his playing days in the NFL were over, Harris was a defensive back for the Cardinals for four seasons (2002-2005) and played one year with the Denver Broncos in 2006. In his career, the now 47-year-old accumulated 111 tackles, one interception and a sack in 60 games.
Once Harris decided to retire, he joined Arizona’s front office back in 2008 as a scout before becoming director of pro scouting and director of player personnel. He would receive the promotion to vice president of player personnel in February of 2021.
In the past, he also has interviewed for the Cardinals, New York Giants and Tennessee Titans’ general manager positions.
Now, Harris will have to look for another NFL opportunity elsewhere after this split with Arizona.
