Cardinals update on WR Marvin Harrison Jr. not looking promising for Week 15 return

GLENDALE – The Arizona Cardinals latest injury update for star wide receiver doesn’t look good. In Thursday’s practice report, Arizona had former fourth overall pick wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. missing his second straight practice due to a heel injury. Harrison missed two weeks earlier in the season due to appendicitis surgery, and then in his Week 13 return, he injured his heel.

Head coach Jonathan Gannon stated that Harrison was running fine, but when walking and jogging had serious discomfortable in his heel. The 23-year-old missed last week and is in serious danger to miss his fourth game in five weeks.

Harrison misses second straight practice:

Harrison had a very healthy rookie season, appearing in every game. However, his sophomore season has been much more of a rocky road. The Cardinals have been plagued by injuries all season from their top players like quarterback Kyler Murray and running back James Conner, with Harrison joining the list. The 2025 season has been hell to endure for the franchise, and it doesn’t look to get easier against one of the best defenses in the league vs. the Houston Texans in Week 15.

Wide receiver Michael Wilson has stepped major in Harrison’s absence, but Houston has the third best passing defense in the NFL. Arizona’s run game is almost non-existent, with a heavily reliance on the passing game for the past few months. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett has been the passing yards and completion leaders in the NFL since Week 6. Despite that, the Texans will be the hardest test, especially without a star like Harrison out in the field.
