The Los Angeles Chargers released their first injury report of Week 4 on Wednesday, revealing multiple key absences as they prepare to face the New York Giants on Sunday in New Jersey.

Chargers Injury Report: Offensive Line Concerns

The biggest news centers on the Chargers’ offensive line. Right guard Mekhi Becton (concussion), center Bradley Bozeman (back), and right tackle Trey Pipkins III (knee) all missed or limited practice. Becton and Bozeman did not participate at all, while Pipkins was limited, raising questions about how the Bolts will protect quarterback Justin Herbert against the Giants’ defensive front.

With Rashawn Slater already out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury, depth at tackle is a major concern

Other Chargers Injuries

The Chargers also were without wide receiver Derius Davis (knee), tight end Will Dissly (knee), and long snapper Rick Lovato (personal). Safety Elijah Molden (hamstring), defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand (back), and cornerback Donte Jackson (ankle) were limited, while cornerback Cam Hart (hip) was a full participant.

Head coach Brandon Staley will monitor players’ progress over the next few days, with final game statuses expected later in the week.

Week 4 Outlook

Sunday’s matchup pits Los Angeles against a New York Giants team that also reported multiple injuries, including linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (calf) and tight end Theo Johnson (toe), among others. The Giants’ rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart will face a Chargers unit navigating significant personnel challenges up front and in skill positions.

Managing these injuries will be critical for the Chargers’ offensive efficiency. With three starting offensive linemen in question, the Bolts’ ability to protect Herbert and sustain drives could determine the outcome of their Week 4 clash in New Jersey.
