The LA Chargers welcomed a long list of players to participate during rookie minicamp. Some were selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, some were signed as undrafted free agents, and some were welcomed as tryouts. One of those tryouts officially made the roster on Monday as the Chargers signed wide receiver Dalevon Campbell. Campbell was invited to rookie minicamp after no team signed him as an undrafted free agent. To make room for Campbell on the roster, the Chargers made their first roster cut of the year. Center Bucky Williams, who has been with the team since the start of the 2024 season, was released to make room for the minicamp tryout. Campbell played six years of college football, spending his senior season with South Carolina in the SEC. The six-foot-four wideout had a relatively quiet season stats wise as he finished with 312 yards on 12 catches in 12 games played. What's notable about those numbers is the yards per reception. Campbell averaged an asinine 26 yards per catch for the Gamecocks last season.
