Like in Week 14, the Chicago Bears are getting set to play the Green Bay Packers with the first place in the NFC North hanging in the balance.

The 10-4 Bears were able to take back the lead in the division by beating the Cleveland Browns 31-3 on Sunday. The Packers suffered a few big things in a 34-26 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 15.

Star pass-rusher Micah Parsons has been lost for the season after tearing his ACL while trying to pressure Bo Nix. Green Bay had the lead when Parsons exited in the third quarter. Things went sideways quickly for the Packers without him.

During his news conference on Tuesday, Bears quarterback Caleb Williams poked at the Packers a little before Saturday night’s game at Soldier Field.

Williams suggested Chicago should have won its Week 14 matchup before letting Green Bay escape with a 28-21 win at Lambeau Field.

“I am excited for it,” Williams said of playing the Packers in primetime, via CHGO Bears. “I think everybody is excited for it. We feel like we let them off the hook. We want to go out there and play our brand of football. We are excited to go showcase that.”

Williams and the Bears offense struggled to play efficiently in the first half in Week 14, trailing Green Bay 14-3 at the half. Williams finished with 186 yards passing and two interceptions, but he threw an interception on the final drive that decided the outcome.

Green Bay’s defense should look different in Saturday night’s game. However, Bears head coach Ben Johnson understands that can cause challenges for the offense.

“They are changing,” Johnson said of the Packers. “Micah is out. We gotta be prepared to adjust and plan accordingly.”

Even with Parsons out, the Bears are a 1.5-point underdog, per ESPN BET.
