Chicago Bears Super Bowl LXI conspiracy theory surfaces

The Chicago Bears fell short of their quest for a Super Bowl title in 2025. After defeating the Green Bay Packers in the wild card round, the Bears suffered a season-ending loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round.

Super Bowl 60 is now in the backseat after the Seattle Seahawks won the franchise’s second title. The New England Patriots fell flat in Santa Clara, California, as they struggled against Sam Darnold and Co. They failed to score a point in the first three quarters and were too late despite their 13-point fourth quarter. Seattle sealed the win, 29-13.

Before the two teams went head-to-head, a number of NFL fans were already predicting the Super Bowl contenders this year. Many people call it the Super Bowl logo color theory. This is where the supposed NFL scriptwriters already know the teams that will be playing beforehand.

The Chicago Bears at Super Bowl LXI?

The logo for Super Bowl 61 was unveiled on Monday at a handoff press conference after Super Bowl 60. It was previously announced that the next Super Bowl will be hosted by the City of Los Angeles. Super Bowl 61 will be played at SoFi Stadium on February 14 — the first Valentine’s Day Super Bowl.

This will be the ninth time Los Angeles has hosted the Super Bowl, and the second at SoFi Stadium. But that’s not the big news to come from the logo unveiling and handoff ceremony. The most talked-about aspect was the colors used in the Super Bowl 61 logo.

The new logo features a blue wave and an orange hue reminiscent of a sunset. According to the conspiracy theory, an orange team and a blue team will face off in next year’s Super Bowl. A theory holds that the Bears will make it all the way to Super Bowl 61 just because of the orange in their team logo.

The Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, Seahawks or Patriots could represent the blue team. For the orange team, it might be any of the Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns or, of course, the Bears.

This is not a long shot for the Bears as they are coming off a successful season. They are fresh off winning the NFC North and are gearing up to win it all next year. To top it all off, incoming third-year quarterback Caleb Williams is already being linked to 2026 NFL MVP rumors. So, it is safe to assume that the Bears will make a lot of noise in 2026.
