Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are now 6-6 after a 31-28 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.
The Chiefs entered the game with offensive lineman Trey Smith out due to a high and low-ankle sprain he suffered against the Indianapolis Colts.
The Chiefs then saw even more injuries take place on Thursday.
All of safety Bryan Cook, offensive lineman Jawaan Taylor and rookie tackle Josh Simmons suffered injuries that could keep them out for some time.
After the game, head coach Andy Reid revealed that Cook sprained his ankle, Taylor injured his right tricep and Simmons had a wrist injury.
Once again, the Chiefs have some key injuries hanging over their heads.
Reid then revealed the approach they will have to take with more questions, via Charles Goldman of A to Z Sports.
"We go next-man-up and try to make it work," Reid said. "Our pass game was a little off. He (Mahomes) had to move around quite a bit. We were off, timing, a little bit, but Pat made some great plays."

The next-man-up approach is something Kansas City has relied on a lot.
Running back Isiah Pacheco missed time before returning on Thursday. Xavier Worthy missed a couple of games with an injury, and Simmons also missed time this year, although it was due to personal reasons.
The offensive line being without Simmons and Smith could be a costly blow for the offense, so it will be worth monitoring over the next couple of weeks.
Now, the Chiefs are 6-6 and fighting to stay alive in the playoff race while dealing with some key injuries going forward.
The good news is that Kansas City has a long break and plays again on Dec. 7 against the Houston Texans.
