The Kansas City Chiefs begin their march toward an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl championship on Saturday against the upstart Houston Texans at Arrowhead.
Both teams are dealing with injuries as they enter the weekend as Kansas City showed 11 players on the injury report while the Texans had 10.
Chiefs star defensive tackle Chris Jones has been slowed by a calf strain but was a full participant in practice this week and running back Isiah Pacheco was slowed with a rib injury, but was also a full participant on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
For the Texans, running back Joe Mixon appeared on the injury report on Wednesday and was limited with an ankle, and missed practice on Friday. He was designated as questionable on Friday.
Will Anderson Jr. has been slowed by a shoulder injury but was a full participant all week.
