The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Detroit Lions in Week 6, 30-17.
The Chiefs moved to 3-3 on the year and made a statement in the "Sunday Night Football" victory.
While the game was overshadowed by a postgame fight between Brian Branch and JuJu Smith-Schuster, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes played well against the Lions' defense.
Mahomes went 22-of-30 for 257 yards with three touchdowns. He also rushed for 32 yards and a score on 10 carries, accounting for all four touchdowns in the win.
On the season, Mahomes has now thrown for 1,514 yards with 11 touchdowns, and things will likely get better with wide receiver Rashee Rice returning.
On Wednesday, Mahomes received a big honor after his Week 6 performance.
He was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Second time in three weeks he's won the award.
Mahomes also won the award two weeks ago after the win over the Baltimore Ravens.
In that game, the Chiefs QB went 25-of-37 for 270 yards with four scores in the 37-20 win over the Ravens.
The Chiefs also posted the news to their Instagram account.
"Add another AFC Offensive Player of the Week for QB1," the caption read.
Mahomes has 12 AFC Player of the Week awards in his career, and this is his second in the month of October.
The Chiefs and Mahomes will look to get above .500 in Week 7 as they face the Las Vegas Raiders at home on Sunday before playing the Washington Commanders in Week 8 on "Monday Night Football."
