The Kansas City Chiefs have found themselves in an unenviable position at this point in the season. The Chiefs suffered a disappointing 22-19 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, which marked their second consecutive defeat. This follows Kansas City’s tough loss to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in Week 9, 28-21.

The Chiefs were on their bye in Week 10 and were hoping to get back on track after their mid-season break. This was not the case on Sunday against Denver, though, which saw Kansas fall to 5-5 on the season after back-to-back losses. At the moment, Patrick Mahomes and Co. are third in the AFC West behind the 7-4 Los Angeles Chargers and the 9-2 Broncos, who are riding an incredible eight-game winning streak.

The NFL season is already way past the mid-way point. The Chiefs have seven games left to turn things around, as they are currently not even guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. December is going to be a crucial month for this team, and they will need to stack up the wins if they want to keep their Super Bowl hopes alive.

Speaking of December, the Chiefs recently provided some holiday cheer off the field. On Monday, the team took to social media to announce a partnership with sports retail brand Scheels. This is part of the Chiefs' annual toy donation drive during the Christmas season.

“We partnered with @SCHEELS to give back to the KC community during the holidays with our annual Toys for Tots Drive ❤️” the team posted on X.

The Toys for Tots program is a decades-long initiative between the Chiefs and the United States Marines. Now in its 59th year, the program is the longest-running relationship of its kind between an NFL franchise and a military branch.

This year, the Chiefs have chosen Scheels as one of its merchant partners. Folks can make their toy donations in multiple Scheels branches in Kansas City. Monetary contributions can also be made via the Toys for Tots website, with all proceeds going directly toward purchasing toys for families in Kansas City.

As for their football, the Chiefs will be looking to bounce back in their next game. This comes in the form of a Week 12 matchup against the 8-2 Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. It’s going to be another tough test for Kansas, but at least they get to play at home. The Chiefs will host the Colts at Arrowhead Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
