The Kansas City Chiefs are working through training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri, looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2025 season.
Travis Kelce is at the center of that effort, entering his 14th year in the league at 36 years old, a stage of his career where he is no longer chasing the numbers that once made him one of the most productive tight ends in football.
He finished last season with 76 catches for 851 yards and five touchdowns, respectable production but a step below his usual standard, and a reminder that his record streak of seven straight 1,000-yard seasons is now behind him.
That backdrop made a familiar face at practice stand out. Jason Kelce made a surprise appearance at Chiefs camp to watch his younger brother work, and Travis appeared to feed off it, putting together a strong session that included several red-zone catches against Kansas City’s secondary.

Jason has stayed busy since retiring from the NFL, splitting time between ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown and New Heights, the podcast he co-hosts with Travis, and he remains a visible figure around the league even without playing. His trip to camp made that clear once again.
After practice wrapped, he crossed the field to catch up with Andy Reid, the coach who drafted him back in 2011, before sharing a moment with Travis, per Farzin Vousoughian.

Jason has long been one of his brother’s most vocal supporters, and his appearance in St. Joseph offered a lighter moment during a camp built around getting Kansas City back on track this season.
