This will be very fun for fans in attendance, but here's another way to look at it.
The last time the Chiefs had a country artist performe during halftime of the AFC Championship game was during the 2021-22 season when Kansas City lost to the Cincinnati Bengals, missing out an the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl.
That artist was Walker Hayes.
But, the Chiefs are looking to put an end to this, not wanting it to become a unfortunate trend.
However, the Bills probably wouldn't mind having a little extra help on their side.
The Super Bowl halftime show just got a whole lot better.

The duo are touring together starting in April, performing in 19 different stadiums across North America. So, SZA is the perfect person to join him.
Lamar shared a clip on his social media accounts, with him on a football field speaking on the phone. During the conversation, he explains that he wants to bring in someone else for the performance.
“I’ve been thinking about a guest performer,” he states.
And then, the video cuts to a photo of SZA pouring a cooler of blue gatorade on Lamar.
The Super Bowl halftime show is the biggest performance of the NFL season, but there are some other musical guests lined up for the week leading up to the big event.
