The Kansas City Chiefs face their division rival Denver Broncos in Week 18 and face an unfamiliar situation in Colorado when they arrive.
The Chiefs scored a narrow 16-14 victory at Arrowhead back in Week 10 with a blocked field goal attempt that could've won the game for Denver on the game's final play.
While that fell right in line with a number of other wins the Chiefs enjoyed this season, it has little to do with Kansas City being current 10.5-point underdogs on Sunday.
The 15-1 Chiefs are massive underdogs on the road at the 9-7 Broncos because they've chosen to rest the majority of their starting players.
On Wednesday, coach Andy Reid announced that backup quarterback Carson Wentz will start under center while Patrick Mahomes rests.
That is expected to be a common theme among other starters for Kansas City too, especially as the game progresses. The Chiefs locked down the AFC West crown and the AFC's No. 1 seed in the upcoming postseason, meaning they'll bet a bye in the first round, and won't play another game until Jan. 18 or 19.
The Chiefs and Broncos kick off from Denver at 3:25 p.m. CT on CBS on Sunday.
