Chiefs Fix 2 Offensive Positions In Latest Mock

The Kansas City Chiefs' offseason needs have been well-documented and with the signing of Jaylon Moore as the starting left tackle, it looks solid right now.

But we aren't sure that "solid" is what head coach Andy Reid or Patrick Mahomes want from their left tackle. They want a peace of mind.

Moore, along with Wanya Morris and Kingsley Suamataia are the left tackle options as things stand for Kansas City with Suamataia thought to be shifted inside to left guard as an experiment.

But we aren't sure if that will suffice and in CBS Sports' latest three-round mock draft, after the Chiefs trade back out of the first round, left tackle Josh Conerly Jr. from Oregon is selected a No. 40.

So, that helps fortify the offensive line.

But continuing in the second round, the Chiefs look to add some juice to their running back room, as Ohio State's Quinshon Judkins is coming to the AFC champs.

Judkins has rushed for over 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns in each of his three college seasons. He was also part of the Buckeyes' championship team last season.

With Kareem Hunt, Isiah Pacheco, and Elijah Mitchell, Judkins will come in and battle the trio for a roster spot.

Running a 4.48 40-yard dash at the scouting combine, Judkins will give the Chiefs run game some much-needed speed. A bruising runner, Judkins has the type of aggression running the football that Andy Reid will love, and having the potential to be a three-down back in the NFL is exciting.

So, the Chiefs solidified two offensive spots in the first two rounds of the draft, with the left tackle spot getting more competition. The run game, which was 26th for yards per game in 2024, gets a speedy option that will create havoc for the depth chart.
