Easter Sunday is extra special in the Hunt household as they welcome a new member of the family. Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt's daughter Gracie is set to get married after confirming her engagement to longtime boyfriend Derek Green.

Gracie, a devout Christian, posted about her engagement on Instagram as she also commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Sunday. The 28-year-old heiress wrote in the caption:

"Thank You, Jesus — for salvation, for love, and for this beautiful chapter You’ve written for us. You painted the purest picture of love the world has ever seen, and today we celebrate that gift. As we step into this new season of life together, our prayer is simple — to love each other the way You loved the church. Selflessly. Faithfully. Completely."

The engagement celebration was reportedly attended by their closest friends, who were just as happy in the comment section of the post.

Gracie’s mother, Tavia, is among the happiest about the news. She even made her own post to give her blessing to the couple and welcome Derek to the family.

The newly-engaged daughter commented with three hearts emoji.

Gracie said she and her fiancé have been friends since 2017. Green is the son of former NFL quarterback Trent Green, who played for the Chiefs from 2001 to 2006. The older Green won the Super Bowl in 2000 with the St. Louis Rams.

Derek is also a professional football player and plays quarterback for the Bologna Warriors, a pro league team in Italy. He is described as a private person relative to his status and the high profile relationship with Gracie. His own Instagram account is on private and only has less than 3,000 followers.

Gracie, meanwhile, is a public figure. She won the Miss Kansas USA in 2021, just like her mother did 28 years ago.
