The Kansas City Chiefs were blown off the field by the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, and for some, that is where the AFC Champs' recent dominance ends.
Having been to the last three Super Bowls, many think the fuel tank is running on empty and with a host of unknowns on the roster heading into 2025, most notably Travis Kelce, some think the Chiefs' "magic" has finally run out.
But defensive lineman Charles Omenihu doesn't think that.
Speaking on FS1's The Facility, the 27-year-old knows that the Chiefs will be back in 2025.
"We have guys coming back," Omenihu said. "Rashee (Rice) is gonna be back, so that's gonna help out the offense. I think whatever holes that the team has, coach (Andy) Reid and (general manager) Brett (Veach) do a great job of getting on top of it real quick. They're not gonna overlook anything that may have been a reason why we didn't come out on top.
“So it's gonna be a retool, refuel and get back to it."
Of course, Charles might not be a part of it, given he is a free agent, but he knows what type of organization this is, and there is no doubt that despite the loss, Kansas City will once again be one of the contenders in 2025.
There is a lot to get through for the Chiefs, and digesting the Super Bowl loss is likely already done. Now, the roster will enjoy a break after yet another grueling season; they will rest and recharge before attacking the preseason.
Many are doubting the Chiefs right now, but if there is one thing we've learned about Patrick Mahomes' teams over the years, it's this: Doubt them at your peril.
