Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes 'full-go' in OTAs after toe surgery

Any fans of the Kansas City Chiefs still worried about quarterback Patrick Mahomes ahead of the Memorial Day weekend can relax.

A report surfaced last week that the one-time regular-season and Super Bowl Most Valuable Player would participate in organized team activities this week coming off the toe surgery he underwent following the Super Bowl LV loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to Matt McMullen of the club's website, coach Andy Reid told reporters Thursday Mahomes isn't limited at this time.

"He's been doing everything. He's been a full-go," Reid explained. "We utilize this as more of a passing camp, and his toe has really done well."

Mahomes aggravated a previous injury to the big toe of his left foot in a home playoff win over the Cleveland Browns in January but was said last week to be ahead of schedule in his recovery from the procedure. While he certainly doesn't require much work ahead of training camp, there's now little doubt he's well on track to be 100% before preseason games start.
