Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes Makes Personal Reveal on Tuesday

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are coming off a season in which they performed well below expectations. Kansas City missed the playoffs for the first time with Mahomes as a starting quarterback, ending with a 6-11 record and a No. 3 overall finish in the AFC East.

Mahomes himself suffered an ACL injury in a 16-13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15. On the season, the Texas native threw for 3,587 passing yards on a 62.7% completion percentage to go along with 22 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The two-time NFL MVP is expected to be available for the start of the 2026 regular season and, in speaking with People magazine, gave a personal admission.

In a social media post on X, People magazine wrote about how Mahomes spoke to the publication about his relationship with his son, Patrick Lavon Mahomes III. Nicknamed "Bronze," his son was born on Nov. 28, 2022, to Brittany Mahomes and Patrick Mahomes.

Now entering his 10th season of professional football, the 30-year-old revealed how having a son changed his perspective. The Whitehouse High School graduate reflected on now being one of the oldest members of the Chiefs, how he has learned to enjoy the small things in life and the little moments because you never know when they'll be gone, and has accepted his role.
