Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has had an incredible coaching career in the NFL. Reid is in his 27th year as a head coach in the league and his 13th with the Chiefs. In 245 career regular-season games, he has a record of 275-149-1, as he has won five conference championships and three Super Bowls.
Since taking the job with the Chiefs, Reid has an unbelievable .721 winning percentage, as he and quarterback Patrick Mahomes have led Kansas City to five Super Bowl appearances in the past six years, winning three of them.
Through five games in 2025, Reid and the Chiefs are a disappointing 2-3 and are coming off a 31-28 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars last week.
Kansas City will take on Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions (4-1) on "Sunday Night Football" in Week 6. This will be the fourth time Reid has faced the Lions since becoming the coach of the Chiefs. He has a 2-1 record against Detroit, with his only loss coming the last time these teams met in 2019, when the Lions won 21-20.
Before the game, the Chiefs posted a video on the team's official X account of Reid arriving at the stadium with a caption praising the longtime coach.
"Our fearless leader ," read the caption.
