Chiefs' 'Toughest' Game In 2025 Sees Rivalry Renewed

The Kansas City Chiefs will have a long way to go to get back to the top of the AFC mountain in 2025, with the consensus being the defending conference champs might be there to be had.

But they still do have Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid.

With the NFL set to release the 2025 schedule this week, many are looking ahead to see where their teams are playing and who, and for the Chiefs, there are a host of tough matchups.

But there's one that Pro Football Network sees as the Chiefs' toughest game, and it sees their rivalry with the Buffalo Bills reignite with Kansas City again having to travel to Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, the scene of their playoff triumph last season.

"The Bills don’t fear the Chiefs, but they haven’t been able to beat them under the brightest of lights in the postseason," Pro Football Network writes. "However, Buffalo is actually 4-3 in their past seven games against Kansas City, making a trip to Upstate New York the most difficult game for the Chiefs entering the 2025 regular season."

It is an odd dynamic that the Chiefs and Bills have.

Kansas City has beaten Buffalo the last four times in the playoffs, but in what is a wacky stat, the Bills have beaten the Chiefs the last four times they've played in the regular season.

Go figure.

So the Chiefs will get a chance to slay the Bills, and do so for the first time in the regular season since 2020, with Buffalo able to get the better of Mahomes and Reid time and time again.

Will it be the "toughest" game on the schedule? There's every chance it just might be.
