It's still unclear when wide receiver Christian Watson will be fully recovered from the ACL injury he suffered back in January. However, there's visual evidence of how well things are going for the former second-round pick.

Watson himself shared a video of his training on Instagram Stories, and it's the type of evidence that will make Green Bay Packers fans excited about his return.

Not only is Watson running at impressive if not full speed, but he's also cutting and running some routes smoothly. It's particularly impressive considering he's six months removed from the injury.

"He looks like a freak like he always does, in a positive way," head coach Matt LaFleur had said about Watson earlier this offseason. "He's been great, he's been outstanding. Just great attitude and he's working hard."

During OTAs and mandatory minicamp, Christian Watson had stretch periods with the team, even though he wasn't able to do individual or team drills. But it's a progress, and LaFleur took note of that.

"It is exciting to see how far along he is, he's been doing a great job, he attacks it the right way. Our trainers have done an outstanding job with him. I think he's in the best spot possible considering the circumstance," LaFleur added. "He will give us a boost whenever that is. Whenever he comes back, I expect him to give us a boost."

This is a big season for Watson, as he enters his fourth year in the NFL—and the final of his rookie contract. If Watson can return relatively early and make an impact on this year's team, it will secure him a significant dealwhether it's from the Packers or someone else.

Watson tore his ACL on January 5 during a Week 18 game against the Chicago Bears, the regular season finale. He missed the playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and presumably he will start the season on the PUP list, which would force him to miss at least four games.
