Russell Wilson finally made his free agency decision on Tuesday night, agreeing to terms with the New York Giants.

Wilson signed a one-year $10.5 million deal and can earn up to $21 million if he hits all of the incentives in the contract. He wanted to return to the Pittsburgh Steelers but once they made it clear that they didn't want him back, he moved on to other options.

The one-time Super Bowl champion is set to be the starting quarterback for the Giants after he started most of the 2024 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Wilson finished the season with 2,482 yards through the air, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

After the signing was announced, Ciara, Wilson's wife, was hyped about it on her Instagram.

"New York State of Mind!" Ciara said on her Instagram story, via TMZ. "My greatest inspiration @dangerusswilson."

Wilson and Ciara began dating in 2015 before they got married in 2016. Their ninth wedding anniversary is coming up and they also have three kids together.

The Giants have revamped their quarterback room for the 2025 season and still might not be done. They have Wilson and Jameis Winston in the QB room alongside Tommy DeVito.

New York also has the third overall pick in the draft and have been linked to Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders a lot throughout the draft process. They could take him and have him sit behind Wilson and Winston for a year before giving him the keys in 2026.

If they don't do that, they could draft Travis Hunter if the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns pass on him since they have the top two picks in the draft.

The Giants went 3-14 last season and have missed the playoffs in back-to-back seasons.
