Not much has been going right for the Cleveland Browns on the field this season, as the team's 23-9 Week 6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers dropped them to 1-5.
While the team has yet to find an answer at quarterback, is tied for having the second-worst record in the league and is seeing the demand grow for head coach Kevin Stefanski to be fired, an announcement made on Monday did give fans something to look forward to in the future.
As revealed by the team, the Haslam Sports Group and the city of Cleveland were able to come to an agreement that will allow the team to build a lakefront domed stadium in Brook Park.
"We’ve reached a historic agreement with the City of Cleveland to accelerate the lakefront transformation and strengthen our partnership with them as we continue progress in Brook Park," read the release on X.

Among the more notable notes featured in the release was the fact that the two parties will "voluntarily dismiss all lawsuits with prejudice related to Browns Huntington Bank Field move to Brook Park, OH."
According to ESPN, the Browns' current stadium lease is set to expire upon the conclusion of the 2028 season. The report also confirmed that the stadium will reside in the same county as the current one, but will see the team move 15 miles south of where they currently play.
While the Browns will reap the rewards of a $2.4 billion investment that is set to give them a state-of-the-art facility, Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb also highlighted what this move does for the local economy.
"This $100M investment continues our lakefront momentum and economic resurgence," said Bibb. This Agreement puts the lakefront on the path to transformational development and the Browns on the path to a world-class facility in Brook Park. This is the right solution for the City and the region. Cleveland's time is now. We are a city that leads the region, that's open for business, and that knows how to get big things done."
As for the Browns' immediate future, they will host the Miami Dolphins (1-5) on Sunday at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland.
