The Cleveland Browns signed a former Cincinnati Bengals tight end to their practice squad Monday. The Browns head into their Week 3 contest 2-1 after a 27-3 blowout win over the Tennessee Titans. The offense struggled in Week 2 but rebounded in a big way against the Titans.
Still, the Browns were looking to improve depth with skilled players.
According to Mike Garafolo with the NFL Network, the Browns are signing tight end Devin Asiasi to the practice squad. The New England Patriots drafted Asiasi in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He played with the Browns divisional rival, the Bengals, during the 2022 season.
The #Browns are signing TE Devin Asiasi to their practice squad, source says. The former third-round pick of the #Patriots, who was with the #Bengals last season, stays in the AFC North after working out for Cleveland the other day.

Asiasi caught two balls for five yards last season. He has four catches for 44 yards and one touchdown in his NFL career.
The move doesn’t appear to be injury related. Asiasi was a talented player during his college carerr at UCLA. He could fit better in the Browns system.
