Colts could get an early Christmas present just in time for Week 16
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Indianapolis Colts were down to their 3rd and 4th string RBs in Week 15.

And while the Colts run game had success in Week 15, the team will hope to get their top two backs on the field for Week 16.

Luckily for them, there have been positive updates on Jonathan Taylor and Zach Moss.

The first update came on star RB Jonathan Taylor from NFL insider Ian Rapoport. This report shared optimism that Taylor is close to a return.

Taylor has missed the Colts previous three games after suffering a thumb injury that would require surgery. According to Rapport's report, Taylor has a "realistic" chance to return this week.

More good news hit Monday as ESPN's Adam Schefter shared that Colts backup RB Zack Moss' X-rays came back negative, and he plans on playing in Week 16.

Moss left Week 15 after a horse collar tackle, and on the same play, he scored his touchdown. With him already hurting his arm prior to the season beginning, there was concern that Moss would have to miss extended time.

But it seems he has caught a break, and the injury is not as bad as expected. Now the Colts may be getting an early Christmas present just in time for Week 16, as they may have their top two RBs back this week.
