The Washington Commanders announced they signed DT Ricky Barber from the practice squad to the active roster and signed DT Daniel Ekuale to the practice squad in a corresponding move.

Barber, 25, originally signed with the Commanders as an undrafted free agent in 2025 out of UCF. He was among Washington’s final roster cuts as a rookie and re-signed to the practice squad.

The Commanders re-signed him to a futures deal in January. Washington cut him in September and quickly re-signed him to the practice squad.

In 2025, Barber appeared in two games for the Commanders and recorded five tackles, one tackle for loss, and one sack.
