Commanders Announced as NFL Draft Host for 2027

The NFL and the Washington Commanders are about to team up for major NFL Draft news.

The 2027 NFL Draft site has reportedly been set … and the massive event is moving to DC.

As first reported by Axios on Sunday evening, Washington, D.C. is expected to be announced as the host city for the 2027 NFL Draft on Monday.

Washington’s official announcement is expected to come on Monday at the White House … and will reportedly involve President Donald Trump.

The Commanders have garnered many positive headlines this week as the news was released that the franchise will return to the site of their former home, RFK Stadium. … with a new multi-billion-dollar stadium.

Washington, D.C. reportedly beat out Denver, the other city to submit a bid for the 2027 event, for the right to host.

This will mark the second time in history the nation's capital has hosted the draft as Washington, D.C. hosted the 1941 draft.

Per multiple reports, the plan calls for the league to hold the draft itself at the National Mall.

The 2025 NFL Draft was held in Green Bay and is considered a massive success … thus raising the bar for next April. 2027.

The 2027 event is slated to be held in Pittsburgh.
