The Washington Commanders have confirmed what had already been widely expected regarding quarterback Jayden Daniels.
Commanders offensive coordinator David Blough confirmed Thursday that Daniels is a “full go” ahead of their Week 5 game against the New York Giants. That means Daniels will return to action just three weeks after suffering a dislocated elbow.
Asked David Blough if with Jayden Daniels about if any challenges with him coming back off an injury. Any limitations to building the game plan? "He’s full go," Blough said.

Daniels had returned to practice this week and has been trending toward a return. The quarterback had already made it very clear that he did not envision his absence as a long-term one, though it is still impressive to see him set for action this quickly after a fairly significant injury.
The Commanders went 1-1 with Daniels sidelined. They beat the Seattle Seahawks, but lost convincingly to the Indianapolis Colts in London during Week 4.
Daniels had three touchdowns in his first two games before he suffered the injury during Week 2 against Dallas. There will likely be some anxiety to see how he copes with getting hit again in light of his injury history.
