#Commanders are expected to start quarterback Sam Howell on Sunday against #49ers due to quarterback Jacoby Brissett being sidelined with hamstring injury aggravated, per a league source @KPRC2

Initially, it was going to be Jacoby Brissett as the starter. However, Brissett injured his hamstring on Friday, so Howell regained his reins as the starter against the 49ers. The Commanders appeared to be done with Howell by switching to his backup in Brissett this week. Now they are forced to start him after he got hardly any reps with the starters in practice this week.
The 49ers will have zero complaints about facing Howell since Brissett was the tougher matchup. Howell is a turnover machine as he leads the league with the most interceptions (17). It should be an easy outing for the 49ers defense since they lead the league with interceptions hauled in with 19 tallied. Call me crazy, but I think the chances of the 49ers intercepting Howell once or twice are looking extremely likely.
He's reckless with the football and will look to sling it even when a receiver is draped with several defenders. Opportunities should be in abundance for the 49ers in this game. The Commanders also do not have an efficient running game, which was looking like a weakness of the 49ers defense recently. That shouldn't be a worry for them at all in this game.
Points are going to come at a premium for the Commanders. I'd expect no more than 14 points out of them, especially since their motivation for trying in the game is questionable. This game presents itself as a perfect "get right" game for the 49ers defense.
