Cooper Kupp heads to 2025 bound to bring new motivation. After all, he had a much-publicized falling out with the Los Angeles Rams.
The Super Bowl LVI Most Valuable Player is getting used to his new surroundings with the Seattle Seahawks. But he fired off a blunt four-word message Tuesday night bound to grab the Rams' attention.
"New digs. Same work," Kupp succinctly posted on X (formerly known as Twitter). Except his post came with multiple pictures of himself in his newest uniform.
Kupp clearly is expressing no desire to change his game. He still very much plans to be the cornerback tormentor he became with the Rams. Except he now will face his former team twice a year.
Sure enough, multiple Rams fans chimed in on the post.
"Still doesn’t look right," one Rams fan posted with the crying emoji.
Another fan shared a similar reaction.
"Just don't look right. Forever a Ram," that fan chimed in with.
One more fan posted a gif of Kupp celebrating against the 49ers while with the Rams. Saying "Missing you" with the king crown emoji at the end.
Fans of the Rams have mixed feelings about seeing the beloved Kupp play for an NFC West rival. Kupp emerged as one of the more popular members of the Rams as the go-to target for Matthew Stafford. The two even created the "Nine and Dime" podcast together.
Kupp also became one of the more popular L.A. athletes in a city that comes with no shortage of star power. He rose to popularity while in the shadow of LeBron James, Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, even momentarily Caleb Williams during a time the Chicago Bears quarterback played for USC.
The Rams, however, tried to shop Kupp via trade during the offseason. Then ultimately released him. Kupp signed with the Seahawks on a three-year, $45 million deal. The move brought the Yakima, Wash. native back to his home state.
