Schottenheimer took over a head coaching job with one of the most renowned teams in the NFL, featuring some of the biggest stars.
The Cowboys are looking to make a run at the playoffs with quarterback Dak Prescott and two of the best wide receivers in the league, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.
Dallas is heading into a Week 15 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, having won three of their last four games.
As they look to get back in the win column after being defeated by the Detroit Lions, the Dallas Cowboys provided an update on Lamb.
Lamb was limited at practice on Wednesday and was eventually upgraded.
On Thursday, CeeDee Lamb was a full participant after being sent to concussion protocol in the Cowboys' most recent game.

CeeDee Lamb went down with a head injury late in the game against the Detroit Lions and did not return after entering concussion protocol.
While the Dallas Cowboys were easing him into the lineup, it seems Lamb is in line to play against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15. The Cowboys will play the Vikings on "Sunday Night Football," carryinhg the primetime slot on football Sunday.
Since CeeDee Lamb also dealt with an ankle injury earlier this season, his stats don't jump off the screen. Lamb has posted three touchdowns and 865 yards on 57 receptions.
