The Dallas Cowboys got back on the right track in Week 4, winning on the road against the Houston Texans.
Once again the offense was firing on all cylinders, with quarterback Dak Prescott leading the way.
The 33-year-old veteran completed 32 of 45 passes for 335 yards and one touchdown with no turnovers. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was his top target, drawing 21 targets and catching 17 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown. That duo has been unstoppable early in the season.
The Cowboys will have a quick chance to build on that momentum this week on Thursday Night Football, hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at AT&T Stadium.
However, they will not be facing Baker Mayfield. Instead, it will be backup Jalon Daniels after Mayfield dislocated his right thumb.
There was some concern about whether Prescott would be at full strength heading into a short week. During Sunday’s win over the Texans, Prescott was stepped on and cleated during the game, leaving his throwing hand cut up and swollen. He was seen leaving the stadium with his hand entirely wrapped up.
Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer addressed the issue at practice Tuesday and downplayed the injury. He said there is no concern heading into Thursday Night Football and that the hand has recovered well.
Brian Schottenheimer says that Dak Prescotts hand is “great”, no worries there heading into TNF against the Buccaneers.

During Sunday’s game against the Texans, Precotts’ right hand got stepped on (taking a cleat) during an intentional grounding play in the second quarter.
That is great news for a Cowboys offense that has been the driving force behind their early success. Prescott will look to keep his momentum rolling in what has been a strong start to his 11th NFL season.
