DeMarivion Overshown made his return as Brian Schottenheimer and the Dallas Cowboys secured their first win of November, taking down Brock Bowers and the Las Vegas Raiders 33-16 in Week 11's edition of "Monday Night Football." With the win, the Cowboys now jump to 4-5-1 on the 2025 NFL season, with two games against last year's Super Bowl teams on the horizon.
Overshown was forced to miss the Cowboys’ first nine games of 2025 while recovering from a severe ACL, MCL and PCL tear in his right knee. And despite being limited in his snaps, Dallas was certainly glad to have him back, as the linebacker recorded a tackle and a tackle for loss. But with Overshown returning, another linebacker is on his way out.
After four successful seasons with the LSU Tigers, Damone Clark was selected by Dallas in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He found success in his first two seasons with the Cowboys, even recording 109 tackles in 2023. However, over the last two seasons, Clark's role started to diminish, recording just 14 tackles this year.
Clark was also a healthy scratch against the Raiders, just the second game he has missed this year. And on Tuesday, following Overshown’s return, Schottenheimer announced that the Cowboys have waived Clark.
"Brian Schottenheimer said Damone Clark has been cut," Dallas Morning News' Calvin Watkins wrote on X.

Although Clark is no longer with the team, Schottenheimer said he still has confidence in the fourth-year defender and shared the message he delivered to Clark after his release.
"I told him your career is just getting started," Schottenheimer said. "Sometimes change is good. I really believe that. It's not bulls---."
Up next for the Cowboys, a Week 12 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.
