Cowboys' Brian Schottenheimer Confirms Micah Parsons 'Conversations'

If Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer wanted a quiet offseason, well, he's not going to get it.

Micah Parsons sensationally requested a trade away from the franchise, with the star pass rusher fed up with the front office's antics and dragging their feet in negotiations.

Owner Jerry Jones told the fans not to lose any sleep over it and called it "part of the negotiations," and now head coach Brian Schottenheimer has revealed that he has spoken with No. 11 since his trade request.

“I've talked to Micah,” Schottenheimer said. “I talked to all of our guys and great conversations. Not going to share with you guys what he and I talked about. A lot of great things going on, had great conversations with him. I'm transparent. I talk to all of our guys. Always have, always will. Good conversations.”

Schottenheimer's wry smile when speaking on his talk with Parsons to us might show that the head coach isn't too worried about Micah's situation. Or simply that he knew the question was coming.

Still, Micah was seen out on the practice field the day after his trade request, in a hoodie and shorts, still not able to practice as this saga drags on.

Given how important he is to the Cowboys, the saga needs to come to an end because this isn't good for anyone, and while we still believe a deal will get done, how much of Micah and Jerry's relationship will deteriorate in the meantime is anyone's guess.

The Micah watch continues in Oxnard.
